June 2009: Display on the human lung, measuring peak flow and lung capacity in visitors

Staff and students from the CIR participate in the highly successful Edinburgh International Science festival, demonstrating on exhibits.

The 21st festival in 2009 attracted 68,000 visitors, who were thrilled, entertained, mystified and enlightened by this celebration of science and technology.

2009: Dr Ellen Drost organised a display on the human lung, measuring peak flow and lung capacity in visitors, and making models of the lung with younger children using balloons.
