April 2017: The CIR participates at the Edinburgh International Science Festival with the Amazing Immunology workshop The workshop 'Amazing Immunology' organised by representatives of the MRC Centre for Inflammation Research has been a massive success at the Edinburgh International Science Festival 2017. With an overall attendance of around 80 children, mostly aged 6 to 11, and 40 adults, the workshop participants have learnt basic concepts on immunology in fun activities like the "Denny and the T-team", the "Rash Decisions" ball pool challenge and the "Immunological Stickers". Excellent feedback was collected at the end of the workshop: ‘I would like more time but still great!’, ‘It was fun! Good!’, ‘I enjoyed it all’, which is a fantastic reward for the 17 volunteers who ran the activities in these four days of fun and science.
