We aim to understand how chronic liver disease and liver cancer develop and respond to treatment. To understand chronic liver disease and liver cancer better, we study large real-world datasets from the clinic and histology stains of diseased tissue seen under a microscope. We have a particular focus on steatotic liver disease, which we can replicate in a lab setting and on the computer. These computational models allow us to make predictions from routine histological stains, primarily in liver disease but also to diseases beyond the liver.
