Science Insights is an exciting work experience programme designed to give 5th year high school pupils a real insight into the work and life of research scientists. Image This will be the second year that Science Insights has run online, allowing us to support more applicants and reach pupils all across Scotland. 60 students in fifth year of high school will be selected to take part in the programme, with all applicants welcome to attend talks on the Monday and Friday. Applications are open until 5pm on Monday 26 April. The programme itself will run for a week from 26-30 July, with sessions and scheduled breaks from 11:00am until 5:00pm. The Centre for Inflammation Research has contributed to the Science Insights programme since it arrived on the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary campus. Last year, eight of our scientists took part including junior and senior research staff, technicians, research assistants and students.
