Professor Moira Whyte and Dr Sarah Walmsley join the CIR

Professor Moira Whyte and Dr Sarah Walmsley have joined the Centre for Inflammation Research from the University of Sheffield. Dr Sarah Walmsley is a Wellcome Senior Clinical Fellow and Honorary Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with research interests in the regulation of neutrophillic inflammation and the role of hypoxia in cellular outcomes. Professor Moira Whyte is a Professor of Respiratory medicine with research interests including molecular mechanisms of innate immune cell apoptosis in the context both of chronic inflammatory lung disease and of host defence against bacterial infection.
