Dr Ruairi Lynch, a PhD student on the Wellcome Trust ECAT programme, won the best poster prize at the Macrophage Biology in the Single-Cell Era Meeting in Ghent, Belgium. His poster entitled "Endothelial cell contamination of kupffer cell populations identified by flow cytometry" generated a lot of discussion as it highlighted a problem with which many other researchers have had experience.
