March 2012: CIR researchers visit a primary school to talk about human lungs Dr Kev Dhaliwal and Dr David Dorward visited Primary 3 at Buckstone Primary School to talk about the human lungs; what they do, how they work and what can go wrong in disease. Pupils discussed the importance of healthy lungs, the dangers associated with smoking and ways that doctors and scientists are able to investigate lung disease in both the clinic and laboratory.
