March 2016: Workshops run by researchers from the CIR at the Edinburgh Science Festival The workshop ‘Amazing Immunology’ organised by representatives of the MRC Centre for Inflammation Research has been a massive success at the Edinburgh International Science Festival 2016. The tickets for the workshop were sold out, with an overall attendance of around 100 people, mostly children aged 6 to 11, who have learnt basic concepts on immunology and allergy in fun activities like the "Denny and the T-team", the "Rash Decisions" ball pool challenge and the "Immunological Stickers".
