April 2015: Amazing Immunology workshops A group of eleven staff and students from the University of Edinburgh / MRC Centre for Inflammation Research (CIR) ran a "sell out" series of "Amazing Immunology" workshops at the Edinburgh International Science Festival from 14th - 18th April 2015. The workshops took groups of up to 24 children through a set of fun activities to learn about immunity, infections, allergies and vaccinations. These activities were developed within the CIR for children aged ~6 - 11 years old, with funding from the British Society for Immunology, and the Wellcome Trust (via a CMVM ISSF2 grant awarded to Donald Davidson) and featured the "Rash Decisions" ball pool challenge, "Immunological Stickers" activity, and the "Denny and the T-team" puppet show and 3D puzzle hunt, with a new accompanying animation by Jim Stirk (of AnimationJam) to begin the activity.
