She has a veterinary medical degree from National University of Litoral (Argentina) and a MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology from University of Chile. She completed a PhD in infectious diseases at Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). She has been a “Ramon y Cajal” fellow and moved to Edinburgh in 2007 from the University of Bristol. ResearchHer research centres around molecular bacteriology with a particular interest on multi-host intracellular bacterial pathogens.
