The 9th European Workshop on Lipid Mediators

The 9th European Workshop on Lipid Mediators (9EWLM), organised by IRR/CIR researchers, took place at the University of Edinburgh John McIntyre Conference Centre on 26th-28th June, 2024, having over 150 delegates from 20 countries.

The European Workshop on Lipid Mediators (EWLM) is the official biannual conference of the European Society for Lipid Mediators. The 9EWLM was organised by CIR researchers, Dr Chengcan Yao and Professor Adriano Rossi, and scientists from other European institutes, and was supported by the CIR administration team especially Ms Sonia Rafferty and IRR PhD students (Anu Fernando, Aerin Thompson, Fiona Cunningham, Kelvin Cheng, and Chengbin Zhang).

The 9EWLM was generously supported by many sponsors and charities including the British Pharmacological Society and the Scottish Metabolomics Network.

The EWLM conference is the largest event in the Europe that gathers researchers from various background to discuss scientific progress in the lipid area from chemistry, food science, biological science to pharmaceutical science and medicine.

Other PhD students from CIR/IRR and other CMVM centres also attended the conference and presented their researches.
